Post office to close
David Groom received a poster Wednesday 3rd December to put up in the shop- it says that from Friday 9 January the Post Office Counter in the Brechfa Shop will cease trading, and the mobile service will start on the Monday.
So last morning of Post Office service in the shop will be Thursday 8 January 2009.

The Big Decision
The post office has now announced the decision to close Brechfa Post office and replace it with an outreach service.
Closure date has yet to be confirmed but looks to be sometime between November, 08 and January, 09.

"It is not good news - they have decided to go ahead with closure however it will not be immediate - it may take place sometime between November 24 and towards the end of January.
In the meantime, the Bryn Stores Community Shop is researching how the Post Office services we value and use in the Shop can be carried on in a different way - information is coming in from other areas in England that suffered these closures last year and there is some light in the tunnel.
So - DON'T PANIC!! and we will keep you informed.
